Bishop Wilson and I have been talking over the past couple of days about the block party that is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Sept 15, 2018, 11:00am-2:00pm. Additionally, we are aware of Hurricane Florence and tracking it’s movement and the weather it brings with it. There is still a very good possibility that it, along with the wind and rain, may bypass the Savannah region altogether. Praise God. Therefore, the final determination on wither or not Saturday will be a go or not will be made Thursday. Let us not forget that our alternate date chosen by the Block Party Committee still is Sept 22, 2018 during the same time frame. Our present total funding is $360.00 which is far from where we intended to be by this date. Anyway, several persons have stated they would be willing to make additional monetary contributions to the overall success of this event because they would just love to see the community come together. For some of us, it’s not about the cost as much as it is about the fellowship and getting our community together. Please, if you are one of those people that would consider making an additional contribution, please do so through the online portal so that we, as a committee, will no definitely by this Thursday, Sept 9, 2018 how much funding will totally be available to us as a committee.
